One of the few schemes the team designed and delivered during Covid19 lock-downs with remarkable team work and effort under a D&B contract, building a great working relationship with all involved to deliver the scheme and meet the client’s aspirations.

The first phase of a series of bed increasing and space improving changes to the existing Emergency department at the hospital. A scheme to refurbish and reconfigure the existing Resus area into a 5-bed bay Assessment Area adjacent to the existing Majors Department.

As with all acute live sites, the challenge in the scheme has been maintaining safe clinical operations while being able to deliver the trust’s requirements of delivering the first phase prior to winter pressures 2020.
