A new built satellite Ambulance Station designed and delivered as a D&B project for a developer working in close collaboration with the end user to fulfil the Trust’s requirements.

The client’s brief required an efficient building for staff operations and training to take place. The scheme delivered a ‘striking box’ from where lean operations can take place, all based around the uninterrupted flow of vehicles and ease of access for crew members between shifts or breaks.

A challenging site on the grounds of Burnley General Teaching Hospital with residential properties in close proximity. With sensitive design and careful operational planning of the site, a positive outcome was achieved.
