Client: Private Healthcare Provider, Glasgow

Following the successful design and delivery of a new operating theatre suite at this hospital alongside a whole reclad scheme, and the 88-bed refurb scheme, the hospital team soon identified that they were already working at capacity and the need for an additional Operating Theatre suite.

Although the hospital had come up with some option none were ideal as were not directly linked to the existing theatres suite. Using our experience, we came up with an alternative concept that created the new Theatre Suite as an extension to the existing department fulfilled the client requirements, as well as giving the hospital a new Front Entrance designed to modernise it and give the status and gravitas the hospital deserves.

A challenging scheme to deliver, as it required careful planning and logistics for both the contractor whilst working to form the new entrance, reception and waiting areas as well as the hospital team who had to operate the hospital use a secondary entrance for the duration of the works, but with a client delighted with the end result.
